This morning, listening to news about the latest lottery winner (something in the millions yet to be claimed in Iowa), I did that little, "what would I do with all that money?". I thought about the usual -- family, friends & philanthropic uses....then thought how wonderful it might be to just sell vintage finds - and have that be my only work. See, I have worked a full time job in education since finishing college (which was many years ago) so it is my norm...and rarely do I let my mind travel to not working.
Upon arriving at my office in Eau Claire, the day unfolded with the usual: meetings, computer time, conference call, and so on. But it also included this team of coworkers that truly make very challenging work O.K.-- even enjoyable. So as certain as I am that if I won a lottery I would work less, I am not certain if I could walk away.
Here are some candid shots of my little work space....including my inspiration board. As you might notice, there is no lottery ticket, no stack of money...just work that can be rewarding enough to keep me coming back for more.
How about you - truth be told -- if you won the lottery...what would you do?

Hello, I`m not to sure what I would do with all that money from a lottery, but would help out my family, buy a big plot of land and rescue abused animals for sure. I bought lotto tickets for tomorrow night, lets hope. Blessings Francine.

Lol, I've watched the lottery show on TLC and like the husband and wife who work as cops....they kept their day job even after winning. Your work space is so nice and organized. I do miss working at times but being home seems so much like a nonstop full time job. One day I'll be back in the mix :)

I'd like to open a professional dumpster diving company. And give copious amounts of cash to animal shelters, veteran's services and historic & natural preservation societies.
I've thought about this and my initial plans for the winnings would always be to built a decent barn with running water so in the Winter I don't have to fill up 5 gallon buckets of water from the downstairs bathroom in the house, haul the buckets carefully down the hallway into the kitchen and out the back porch trying not to splash water on the floors, lift them higher when going down the back door steps, again trying not to splash water on the steps that would turn to ice...trudge across the lawn and tip the buckets into the stock tank. Then feeling really sad that it barely made a dent in the water level and having to do it all over again. Ya...I would build a barn with running water! :O)
It would be really fun to help out people that could really use it and I must say I would enjoy building my dream house!
I love you guys....kinder, sweeter, funnier folks there just can't be...
