Meadow View

Our farm is located in the township of Otter Creek.
We had thought we would name it Otter Creek Farm.

But, it had a name.
When first built in 1857, it was said that from every window you could view a meadow...
thus, Meadowview Farm.

This farm had been in the same family for well over 150 years -- we did not assume that the name was something we could just take.  So, when Lois Hall, the last owner, stopped by with a picture of the farm, she also gifted us with the name.

Meadowview Farm.

Do you have a name for your home?

Our home is called Hickory Pocket because it's our little pocket of a larger hickory woods.

I always had wondered where "Hickory Pocket" came from....love that you named it that.

We've lived here for 13 years and have a pond. We planned to name it, but still haven't. Hmm...

Thank you for keeping the name. It may not seem like much but for my family that house and farm holds millions of memories. We are blessed to have someone love it as much as we do.

Thank you for keeping the name. All of my happy memories; most memories in fact, are at the farm. I am so glad that she is in loving hands and with people who appreciate her and her history. I will try to come with my mom and Granny to you next barn sale.

It looks beautiful - thank you for keeping "my" Asian wallpaper as well. One of my favorite bits of the farm.

Much love,

Stephanie
