Half empty or Half full?

I arrived home tonight...
tired of boots,
tired of climbing over snow banks,
tired of winter roads.
My list of "poor me-s" ever so long.

Then I remembered I had taken some pictures this morning
as I was leaving for the office...

The choice is ours:  half empty or half full?
Or simply enough to take your breath away?

There are these moments...when something speaks to you, and it is one part magical & one part spiritual...

When I first really noticed this morning skyline, I was actually in the pasture, with hay in hand...and nothing between me and the sunrise but a fence line. I looked up...and with kittens & goats at my feet & side -- there it was. And all I could do was stand & try to take it in.

I'm glad I captured a little of it on camera -- needed that reminder at the end of a long day.

Sometimes the moment isn't so large & magnificent...but it is there all the same. That tap on the shoulder that says, "stop, feel, breathe". That moment when all is beyond your control and yet all is O.K.

Sixty-five days til spring. Minus 7-degrees on Wednesday. But I'm really going to strive for that half full attitude. Thanks for the inspiration.

Absolutely half full.
And gorgeous.
Sometimes it is those small and fleeting moments that can turn it all around for us.
Keep taking pictures!

Winter is not my cup of tea, thank you very much, but his morning I took the "Littles" to Sauk
City, to the dam, and there we watched with awe and wonder, as at least forty bald eagles flew, and fished and roosted around us. It was spectacular and it filled my cup!
