Odd...

Back in the late 1800's, when our house was built, there was this

secret society in many communities called the "Independent Order

of Odd Fellows".  The IOOF was founded on three tenants: love, 

friendship and truth. I was first drawn to this group by its rather...

odd name, and the fact that there had been an order in our little 

community of Augusta, WI.

They came to be known as "Odd Fellows" because it was odd to find

people organized for the purpose of giving aid to those in need and

of pursuing projects for the benefit of all mankind.

I wonder if any of my collection of pins were once worn by local 

IOOF members?

Our house is anything but monotone...it is more about layers.

So, today was a day for new bedding.  A little vintage, a bit of

thrift store, a tad of online, and a sprinkle of outlet.  

I am guessing my Daisy Grace approves.
