the holidays arrive

Stopped for gas in Fall Creek this morning.
And there to my right was a truck full of trees.
Off they go to a holiday near you.

If anyone follows the Wisconsin author, Michael Perry,
Fall Creek plays a predominate role in his book, Truck.

I have to admit, although we have 5 acres full of perfect evergreen trees in Winter, Wisconsin......and although I adore the smell of fresh pine....we use an artificial tree in our house. We do trim the bottom branches of our evergreens for boughs, but I just cannot bring myself to willingly cut down a tree. I know, I know...

Oh ya!!!! I have to have a real tree Kari, ever since I was little. Always have to put up a real pine still today, I know, I know, Smile, Hugs Francine.

Kari, I understand. I always said if I lived up North on Tree country I'd have a fresh tree we cut ourselves but in actuality I'd probably use an artificial one. I do love the smells of fresh pine and bought a fresh cedar garland to decorate with. Happy Holidays! Betsy
