bluebird

Just a flit of blue caught our eye....
and there he was, a male bluebird
darting into this bird house on the side of our potting shed.

Dave has worked to bring the bluebirds to our farm.
Adding more homes each year, clearing out the old nests...
wishing, wishing, wishing.

And arrive they have.
Two pair - one here, one in a house Dave made
and added to the side of a tree.
They do like the houses that open eastward.

I hope that it is true that when a bluebird crosses your
path, it is happiness they bring with them.

Oh Kari! How lovely! My Mom has bluebirds at the lake. They're very tolerant.
She tends to peek inside the houses to check the progress of the eggs and babies and they tolerate her! Don't you love the rainbow that is birds in our yard? Cardinals and goldfinches and indigo buntings! I love birds!!!

I love bluebirds, too, Kari! We used to get more of them when we were surrounded by open fields, but not so much with the city moving in...I love the paint on the houses...might have to try that on mine! Thanks for stopping by and following- I am a new follower, too!

Kari, I'm envious, because bluebirds are so beautiful but they don't venture down to my part of Texas! I saw a blue jay the other day and that's a bit rare, but the songbirds like bluebirds are my favorite!
BTW, when you said on my blog you wished you could come to our shows in Texas, I was thinking how much I wished I could make it up to your show! Maybe one day!
