a wish

I have this thing for vintage waxed Easter grass...
yes, a tad of an obsession.  I love to tuck it here & there for Easter.

I have been known to climb into dumpsters at auctions for this fab green stuff,
purchase it whenever I find it...
And once even made the following wish as I climbed the stairs of an antique mall,
"If I could find a bag of old Easter grass it would just make my day".
No lie, two booths after saying this wish aloud, what do I find on a shelf...
a bag labeled "bag of old Easter grass"! I am not kidding.

I have quite a list of things I adore,  and this is one of them.

Tucked into an ironstone bowl with eggs.....vintage Easter grass.

How about you, wacky obsession?  Come on, confess!

LOL- I haven't seen any of that grass in years. I am glad you have some and love it.
My obsessions change from year to year. I can't resist red transferware right now----lol xoDiana

I am a scrapbook paper addict! I have a whole binder of paper I will never cut because it's too pretty to use up.

Morning Kari, I love the look of the grass too, looks so sweet tucked in bowls or whatever. I am addicted to anything old it seems :) Blessings Francine.

Oh My Kerry,

I don't know that I have seen it or at the very least I have walked by it... and now I should be slapped for over looking it! OLM

I am so amused by this! I had no idea one could still find waxed paper Easter grass. It sure takes me back! I have a variety of things I hope for when I am poking around. That little wish as you start out really seems to work! haha! I hope spring is finally busting out a little bit for you! It should be beautiful for you when it comes. I love the ironstone bowl as a basket!

Ummm- I love your bunnies in the latest post you did but can't find a way to comment there. They are darling- I have some Christmas candy ones made in Germany but not any Easter ones. xo Diana
