cool

Finally broke down.....central air it is - installation just in time before today's heat advisory.

Feeling pretty "polar beary" right now.

How about you-surviving the heat?

My biggest concern is my area's lack of precipitation for so long. I'm wondering when they're going to start using the "d" word to describe it...

I was enchanted with the book in your photo and looked it up... I can't quite accurately grasp it's origin from what I read. Is it like a book of fairy tales that keeps getting rewritten/revisited? There are several covers, most depicting the polar bear & rider, but yours is the best.

Cheryl...I so wish we could send some of our heavy rain your way! And yes, isn't this book cover charming...

Windows closed, curtains pulled, one fan in the house and 5..count them..FIVE fans in the various outbuildings for the animals. Who has higher priority around this place?!?!?

Oh Barb....I adore how you love your animals!

Here in Mn we are having a little heat wave, and yesterday it was like a jungle outside. Kept shades down, drank lots of water and here we are today with a better air quality. Love old books for the stories and the graphics so guess it's a good idea to select one or a couple to read when you can't do anything else!
