my swan song....

At the close of each day I kick off my shoes & sit. My chair of choice lately is set just outside the barn...my work day is over, my chores done...I just sit. Sometimes the pure peace of the moment overwhelms me. This is my favorite time, this private time.

For those that know me, I would guess they might describe me as independent, pretty opinionated, and yet quite private. I believe that is why it was kismet for this farm to find me just when I needed it the most. I needed this peace in my life....this place I could run back to for safety from a world that I sometimes just don't quite understand.

Please know that it has been both my joy & pleasure to share this story of my farm on this blog...it became a bit of a personal scrapbook for me. And I truly thank the many sweet friends that have stopped by here every now & again. You have meant a lot to me in this story.

Today marks my swan song in the world of blogging--I will certainly come back and share a post every now & again but only when I feel I might have something important to say. This will still be the place to visit for updates on my October Barn Sale or my antique booth at Hixton.

But for now, I feel the wind on my face, the grass under my bare feet and the sun at my back. The time for a sweet "so long" is here....and one final picture of my Meadowview Farm, before it again becomes mine, all mine.

Oh Kari, I will miss you and your posts! Only you know what is right for you at this time...I love your farm and you do have what makes "life" beautiful...a simple, peaceful, way of life. I'm like you, I don't understand this world at times, especially the ugliness of it (but GOD is the LIGHT of this DARK world)and I am blessed to know him personally! Take care, and will be looking for future posts! Blessings~~~From one sweetie to another~~Roxie

Oh....I WILL miss you. I check your blog everyday. But I understand. I've been lax at posting lately but I am in transition here and blogging is one of the last things I think about when all else takes my attention.

You have such a sweetness about you and I have been blessed by that when I've come home tired and run down. After reading your dear posts I always feel better. Thanks for those times.

Bless you!!

Kari - Take care and enjoy your sweet little farm. Thank you for sharing it with us. Our paths will cross again either in October or in Hixton. In person is always so much better than online anyway. Have a wonderful Fall !
