Open....Farmhouse Style

I was at the Hixton Schoolhouse Antique Mall late last night and early this morning. I am done for now.... Lots more to move in, but feeling good about my start. At auction all day Saturday.... question before each bid: "is this Farmhouse Style"? Stop by if you are in the area & let me know what you think.

As always, for all the details about Hixton--see "Vintage Finds" under Chapters to the right.

It is all to tempting and lovely!!! Yes, it is definitely Farm House style. Who knew that this was "a style" when we were actually living it on our little farm in Iowa when I was growing up?

P.S. I'm going to be a grandma! How sweet is that?

Kari, you have definitely got your farmhouse style down. I love your booth. What is the hanging thing on the wall that says: Columbus, OH (and I can't read the rest). It is cool, whatever it' was used for.

Oh Barb.....congratulations, such truly wonderful news! I will get that mom & daughter picture in the mail to you!

Marie....not to worry, I have the same "gathering gene" that you have----I will certify that there will be lots come October. And...The Open House sign is two sided and is marked $25.00.

Betsy...the hanging thing say "Columbus Oil Cloth" and held oil cloth rolls. It is a wonderful red...know someone will come up with just the righ place for it.

You are my Farmhouse Fix. I caught up to a few of your recent posts, and they give me something that I miss in NOT living on a farm. So nice to know you stopped by!

The oil cloth holder would be one of those statement pieces that are so incredible that some people (ahem, I) would redesign a whole room's look to work it in.

Roxie...thanks for the kind words of support...not sure how this will go over at the mall I sell at. Seems that lots of what goes out the door there is what I call "dime store stff". We shall see.

Cheryl--I SO understand....SO understand (smile).

Just saw your comment on my blog! hugs and smiles! You made my day, so glad you enjoyed your box!!!!
If you think of it.. next time you go to Hixton, if the open house sign is still there... please email me, folkart94@msn.com. I will take it, mail you a check and pick it up in Oct. if that works for you, then we don't have to mess with shipping... if it's gone... then it wasn't ment to be and I know I will find something else! :).... it's like a disease! LOL!!! OLM
